A View To A Kill

When 007 retrieves a microchip capable of withstanding an electromagnetic pulse from Siberia, soon identified as being produced by Zorin Industries, he is sent to investigate the company’s owner, Max Zorin.

The assignment takes Bond from Ascot racecourse to Zorin’s French estate where he breeds horse. Bond discovers that Zorin’s lab is producing chips designed to release adrenaline into a horse’s bloodstream helping boost race performance.

It transpires that although Zorin was trained by the KGB he is now acting independently and, with a number of investors, plans on destroying Silicon Valley so that Zorin Industriesand his partners may monopolize wordwide production of microchips.

Heading for San Francisco, Zorin’s background as a medical experiment is revealed, as 007 investigates how Zorin plans on achieving his goals in order to foil his plans…

What we say

The James Bond films reached their nadir with A View To A Kill, with a poor plot and Roger Moore looking his age.
