my Patreon page! My name is David Leigh and I run

I started
The James Bond Dossier back in January 2002 after moving to Barcelona from
London. 
 
The website
is for Bond fans who want accurate news about 007 and well-researched,
in-depth articles - unlike much of what is published about 007, particularly by
mainstream media and many entertainment websites. 
 
It started
off as a small project after I moved but over two decades has grown to become
what it is today. 
 
<h2>Why Patreon?</h2>
Patreon is
a platform that allows people who love The James Bond Dossier to help support what
I’m doing through a monthly subscription. 
 
Web hosting
and the mailing list both have direct monthly costs. Updating software, maintenance
and security take time - sometimes a LOT of time - as does researching and
writing articles. 
 
In the
early days the articles were quite brief but as time has gone on I’ve covered many
aspects of 007 including cars, travel, weaponry and cars – including a day in
2019 spent driving Aston Martins. 
 
You can
help towards the running costs as well as reward me for my time if you think I’m
doing a good job. There are a number of options with different benefits, but
the subscriptions start really low and there is no obligation to subscribe. 
 
<h2>What you get</h2>
There are a
number of subscription levels, the lowest of which is a simple donation. For
less than a coffee a month you help fund the website - and earn my undying
gratitude. 
 
You also
get access to Patreon’s direct message system - which means you have direct access me - and will be invited to participate in a monthly poll. 
 
Higher
levels give you early access to new content on the website, see what I’m currently
working on and get a shout-out on the website’s Patreon page – or even the sidebar
that appears on every page. 
 
You’ll also
be helping the common good. 
 
After 10
subscribers I’ll remove Google’s interstitial ads on the website (the ones that
appear when you click to go to another page) and when I reach 30 I’ll remove
Google advertising from the website entirely. 
 
<h2>How do I get started?</h2>
Take a look
at the different subscription options and click the one that suits you best. 
 
It’ll take a
couple of minutes to complete the subscription process then you’ll be charged on the first day of every
month while you remain a subscriber.
