Anniversary of Lewis Gilbert’s death [2018]

Lewis Gilbert, who directed Sean Connery in You Only Live Twice (1967) and two Roger Moore films, died in Monaco on 23rd February 2018 at the age of 97. When Gilbert returned to the series he essentially remade the fifth Bond film twice, with The Spy Who Loved Me (1977)and Moonraker (1979).
