Skyfall hits $1 billion worldwide

Skyfall has finally exceeded the one billion dollar mark at the box office this weekend, according to a tweet by the official 007 twitter account.

While I am not personally a huge fan of the film, it has certainly been a hit with the majority of 007 fans and the wider cinema going public, and is a tremendous achievement.

While I hope Bond 24 offers a return to a more regular style mission, Daniel Craig’s portrayal of James Bond has proved to be massively successful and the decision to reboot with Casino Royale has been proved right.

David Leigh founded The James Bond Dossier in 2002. A fan of 007 since the age of 8, he is also author of The Complete Guide to the Drinks of James Bond. You can order a copy here if you don't own it already.

Whatever. I, for one, HATED not only Skyfall but the other 2 spawns of the ( to me) infamous ‘reboot’. If I’d my way they’d ‘reboot’ the series back to how it was. I miss James Bond as a wish-fulfillment symbol;I mean, let’s face it–who’d EVER want to be like this new guy ? He’s so screwed up it’s not even funny !

I’m really happy for EON production. They diserved it,really.
