Royal Mint reveals 007 coin

The Royal Mint has today announced a special collectors edition 10p coin celebrating James Bond.

The Royal Mint today announced a special A-Z edition of 10p coins celebrating the Great in Britain. Somewhat surprisingly B is marked by Bond, with a design featuring the gunbarrel and the official 007 logo.

The entire collection is being put into circulation from today, so check your pocket change. Collectors can buy a folder with and silver proof and uncirculated versions of the 10p coins from the Royal Mint website, although at the time of writing there is a queue to access the site(!) with a waiting time of over an hour.

You’ll also be able to buy the coins from Bond in Motion and some Post Offices.

Thanks for the heads up! “Q” time was less than one minute.

It’s tough in the States when you guys do cool things like this – luckily I was in UK when the stamps came out in ’08.

But I was able to order two coins today… And had to chuckle that snow would delay the delivery by 21 days!

    Thanks!
