The gaming giant says the start is only the beginning for 007 First Light.

The company has laid out the first year of updates for 007 First Light, with new missions, returning locations and regular Tactical Simulation content planned over the next 12 months.
The roadmap follows a strong launch for the Bond game, which sold more than 2.7 million copies in its first week after release on 27th May.
Players will return to Kensington in The Workshop and to the mountain roads of Slovakia in the Aston Martin Valhalla. Later updates will revisit Aleph’s black market in Mauritania and The Pearl, a luxury resort in Vietnam now under the control of a new enemy.
Another strand takes Bond back to Webb Industries, where MI6 has uncovered an unknown piece of technology. IO Interactive says the trail may lead to “one of Bond’s deadliest opponents yet”.
The studio also plans gadget upgrades, new weapons, leaderboard challenges, extra intel, new enemies, cosmetics, returning vehicles and fresh gameplay scenarios. New Game+ is being explored.
IO Interactive chief executive Hakan Abrak told Variety the studio is “200%” focused on 007 First Light rather than talking about a sequel.
“For us, the start is only the beginning,” he said.
That has not stopped speculation. Amazon MGM holds the rights to future James Bond video games, and earlier comments by Amazon Games general manager Jeff Gattis led some fans to wonder whether IO Interactive would be involved next time.
Gattis has since sought to calm the waters, telling IGN: “I did not confirm that Amazon Game Studios is publishing the next one. IO’s been great. They’ve been great partners.”
He added: “The game’s doing great. Let’s let the game breathe and have its day.”
For now, Bond fans have a clearer picture of the next year than the next game. 007 First Light is being expanded, IO Interactive remains closely involved, and Amazon is keeping its longer-term plans under wraps.
