In December the big news was the latest Star Wars movie and its colossal box office take. While SPECTRE finished its North American run, it continues to play internationally.

While I didn’t provide an update last week due to taking some time off over Christmas and New Year, here are the figures for the last fortnight.
For the weekend ending 27th December 2015 SPECTRE earned $5.6 million internationally and a further $865,000 in the domestic market for a total of $6.5 million for the weekend. That put SPECTRE on a total of $850 million worldwide, with $196 million of that earned domestically.
The first weekend of 2016 saw SPECTRE earn another $5.6 million globally, with all of that coming from the 53 markets in which it is still playing. That puts the film on a total of $864 million globally, well short of the $1.1 billion earned by Skyfall, but still not to bad either.
As SPECTRE draws to the end of its worldwide release I’ll update the adjusted box office figures for all the Bond films. You can find the current figures here.
