SPECTRE explosion breaks Guinness World Record

SPECTRE has been recognised by Guinness World Records for the largest stunt explosion in a movie.

Daniel Craig and Léa Seydoux joined Barbara Broccoli to accept a certificate for the record in Beijing on behalf of Chris Corbould, responsible for special effects on the film.

Filmed in Erfoud, Morocco, the explosion required 8,418 litres of fuel and 33kg of explosives.

David Leigh founded The James Bond Dossier in 2002. A fan of 007 since the age of 8, he is also author of The Complete Guide to the Drinks of James Bond. You can order a copy here if you don't own it already.
