MI6 Confidential have announced that their next two issues are to be dedicated to the memory of Sir Roger Moore, who died last month at the age of 89.
The magazine’s publishing schedule has been changed, with the planned next issue moved to later in the year.
The email, sent by editor Hugh Maddocks, is reproduced below:
Dear Bond fan,
Due to the passing of Sir Roger Moore, we would like to celebrate his life and career as the longest serving James Bond, and are therefore slightly altering our publishing plans for this year.
In order for the team to create something very special and collaborate with his colleagues from over the decades, the double-issue Sir Roger Moore tribute magazines (#40 & #41) we are working on will ship in a couple of weeks to subscribers. We will send another email to notify you when they hit the postal system.
The original magazine issue that was planned to be released next will now ship in Q3 as #42, along with the previously announced limited edition 100 page special for deluxe subscribers. #43 will ship towards the end of the year and will conclude the 2017 season.
As many of the MI6 Confidential team have had the pleasure to meet and work with Sir Roger over the years, we hope you will enjoy these upcoming tribute issues that celebrate his work and life as 007.
If you have not subscribed yet for 2017, now is a great time to renew online.
