Belvedere yesterday announced they were the new vodka of James Bond, after agreeing to partner with the new Bond film, SPECTRE.
As well as presumably appearing on-screen, the company is to produce two limited edition bottles for its vodka, the first with the MI6 building etched into the glass of which just 100 will be available at auction; and a rather gimmicky metallic bottle with in in-built LED system that will be offered for limited distribution aimed squarely at 007 fans.
Belvedere joins drink brands Bollinger and Dutch Brewer Heineken on the film and the company’s president, Charles Gibbs, says the partnership is the biggest marketing push the brand has ever undertaken, aiming to raise brand awareness worldwide.
Belvedere is a premium vodka made from Dankowskie Rye and blended with water from its own source in Poland. It hopes to encourage bartenders to stock the brand thanks to its association with 007.
