Barbara Broccoli dismisses 3D for Bond 24

In a recent interview Barbara Broccoli scuppered the hopes of anyone wishing to see Bond 24 in 3D. She said that they currently have no plans on shooting in 3D, and felt that the James Bond films were not really suitable for 3D anyway due to the fast moving action and quick cuts.

Her half brother, Michael G Wilson, added that there had been some interest in converting the back catelogue into 3D, but dismissed the idea as a novelty. Skyfall is the first Bond film to be released in IMAX, and it seems likely that Bond 24 will follow that route instead.
