James Bond as a lone operator

August 9th, 2012 by

One of the issues I have with the more recent James bond films, say since Goldeneye onwards, is now rather than 007 operating as a lone agent out on his mission – just like in the books – he instead has come to rely upon his boss, M, much too often.

Some initial thoughts on the Skyfall trailer

August 1st, 2012 by

Back in May when the Skyfall teaser trailer was released I felt rather disappointed, rather at odds with much of the James Bond fan base, who were overwhelmingly positive about it. Skyfall: the clapperboard cut

June 27th, 2012 by

During principal photography for Skyfall a number of clapperboard photos were shared via the official 007 social media channels. In fact, unless we’ve missed any, Bond 23 had a total of 23 clapperboard photos released either intentionally, or (more likely) by coincidence. Anyway, we haven’t seen anyone else do this, so I thought it would be […]

We’ve already covered the signature drink from the latest Bond book, Carte Blanche, but, in true Fleming style, the story is packed full of the finer details on a host of other drinks; some enjoyed by Bond and some by other characters. A few of these drinks are Stolichnaya Martinis; further details on these can […]
