I just think a Goldfinger remake will be fabulous. The film itself is perfect, for us old timers. For a whole bunch of people, Goldfinger is truly unwatchable. My kids (13 and 17) are laughing at every bit, and not in a good way. I think there’s a possiblity to update the whole thing, with a fresh screenplay and all that. Like David Arnold re-scoring the John Barry masterpiece. Use less Thunderbird air planes, send your main actors to Miami for real and let your Bond shove of his wedding ring. I think I want to see it, while I will adore the original forever. They’re just two different expressions from the same source.
