Your chance to taste Vespers made with genuine Kina Lillet at Casino Royale screening

Your chance to try Vespers made to the original recipe with genuine Kina Lillet before sitting down to a screening of Casino Royale.

Ian Fleming specified Kina Lillet in his first James Bond novel for the drink, and the same recipe was specified by Bond in the 2006 film version. The problem is that Kina Lillet was renamed and reformulated by the company that makes it; Lillet Blanc lacks the quinine and bitterness of the original.

But a bottle (or two) of the original product appear to have been found in someone’s wine cellar, because Portobello Road Gin are going to be serving Vespers made with genuine Kina Lillet at The Soho Hotel next Saturday.

After that there is a screening of Casino Royale. Sounds like a great night out!
