Barbara Broccoli recently said work on the next James Bond film will start in spring 2016, according a short interview published in German.
Going back to the original interview in 20 Minuten, Broccoli says she hopes Daniel Craig will remain in the role, and that the films strike a balance between giving fans what they expect and offering something new.
She also says that after taking some time off to enjoy the reaction of the audience it will be time to start again in the spring.
Given the scale of the last two films that sounds like Bond 25 won’t hit our screens for another three years. Assuming nothing has been done on Bond 25 so far, and that nothing remains of the two story arc written by John Logan, spring 2016 means starting entirely from scratch.
As well as thrashing out a new story and penning the script, Broccoli and Michael G Wilson may also have to find a new director and even cast a new 007.
It’s going to be a long wait…

I would like to see James and the Miss Moneypenny have a deeper relationship.

I would conjecture that expectations will be extremely high for Bond 25. I personally would relish to see Daniel Craig stay in the role, but, as change in life is something we cannot hide from, a new Bond in Bond 25 may herald another level of significance into the Bond legacy. Whatever the outcome, James Bond 007 will always remain the epitome of the most sophisticated action and romantic hero of all time

A remake of “On Her Majesty’s Secret Service” with Daniel Craig would be my wish. It’s the only 007 film that should be re-made. The setup in “SPECTRE” is perfect for a future wedding, and now that Blofeld is back…

I keep seeing & hearing that Daniel Craig may quit. Some hope & me & others who supported him are hoping he stay on & do 1 in Bond 25 as 007. His 48th Birthday will be on 2nd March. It would be stupid of leaving & coming back in Bond 26 like was with Sean Connery when he was & replaced George Lazenby as James Bond before Roger Moore came. If Daniel Craig quit there no returning. I be so more then upset. He my last favourite 007.
