SPECTRE closes in on $800M worldwide

The weekend’s estimated box office take, released by Rentrak yesterday, puts SPECTRE just short of $800 million globally.

The 24th Bond film weighed in at $28.4 million worldwide over the weekend, putting in in the number three spot. However in the US/Canadian domestic market it fell to $5.4 million, putting it into fourth place.

To date SPECTRE has taken $792 million globally, with $184.5 million of that from the domestic market and $607.5 from all other territories. The film has just opened in Japan where it has taken $6.9 million, including preview screenings from last weekend.
