Sony smartphone campaign to coincide with Skyfall

Mobile Today published an article yesterday in which they claimed, somewhat unsurprisingly, that Sony plans on a promotional campaign tied in to Skyfall  to push its new smartphone in conjunction with a (presumably) UK network operator:

Sources claim that the manufacturer has linked up with Sony Pictures and inked an exclusive deal with a network operator that could see the new Sony smartphone launched with promotional links and trailers to the film, set to debut in October.

That a Sony phone will appear on screen, there can be little doubt, since the two previous Daniel Craig Bond films have featured an array of Sony devices, including laptops and mobile phones. Gadget site Pocket-lint.com added:

Sony is said to be looking at launching a new device to coincide with the film’s arrival this October, possibly with exclusive footage and other promotional materials preloaded on the device.

Again, it seems likely; the only question remaining is what model 007 will be using.
