Skyfall set to pass Thunderball’s inflation adjusted record

Skyfall has now passed $951 million and on its way to break the billion dollar mark, according to figures provided by Box Office Mojo.

In the US the film is estimated to have reached $272.3 million by the end of the weekend, while reaching $678.7 million in the rest of the world.

The figure puts it in second place as the highest grossing Bond film when adjusted for inflation, behind Thunderball on $1,014.9 million, but it seems only a matter of time before it passes that figure.

However, the real measurement is the number of people who have seen the films, and that information is sadly lacking.
