Skyfall helps boost Sony into profitability

Sony posted its first annual profit in five years, it was announced on Wednesday, helped in part by the massive success of Skyfall.

Profits were pegged at $458 million for the year ending March 31st compared with a loss of $5.7 billion the previous year. The turnaround in Sony’s fortunes have come about from the disposal of assets, including its Manhattan HQ and a weaker yen, but both Skyfall and the latest Spider-Man movie helped boost revenues.
