Skyfall box office update following first weekend of 2013

Skyfall‘s latest figures are estimated to be $1,023,300,000 worldwide according to the latest update from Box Office Mojo. The update includes the first weekend of 2013, with the US figure now standing at $296,900,000 and the rest of the world contributing $726,400,000.

When ticket price inflation is taken into account Skyfall falls into third place in the US, behind Thunderball and Goldfinger and ahead of You Only Live Twice and Moonraker. Sadly there is no indication of the number of people who have seen the film rather than dollars earned, which would provide a better comparison.

By inflation adjusted figures Casino Royale surprisingly lies in tenth place, behind films such as Die Another Day and The World Is Not Enough.
