The official 007 website has announced that Skyfall has become the biggest film at the UK box office this year after beating The Dark Knight Rises. In 12 days Skyfall has taken £57 million, beating the £55.6 million taken by Casino Royale and is now the biggest Bond movie ever in terms of the unadjusted box office take.
Skyfall goes on general release in the United States today, where it is sure to achieve more big numbers.
