The release of the Quantum of Solace trailer was eagerly awaited by fans, but James Bond is so firmly entrenched in popular culture that “Quantum of Solace trailer” was one of the 10 most searched phrases on Google yesterday.
While this teaser trailer gives little away that we didn’t already know, it does show how closely the film seems to follow Casino Royale in style.
In it we see the interrogation of Mr White that follows directly on from the previous film; glimpse some dramatic hand-to-hand combat, as well as 007 taking some knocks in Italy; a spectacular car chase involving Bond’s Aston Martin DBS and several Alfa Romeos; scenes of Bond on board a light aircraft headed for disaster; and a boat chase that seems to have little to do with the campness of Live And Let Die.
