Producers of ‘Bond’ visit culture minister [Hurriyet Daily News]

 

While plans to shoot Bond 23 on location in India may have been abandoned thanks to red tape, Istanbul looks like it is going ahead. A team from the production has been in Turkey this week, including the producers. According to Hurriyet Daily News:

Barbara Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson, the U.S. producers of the film, visited Turkish Culture and Tourism Minister Ertuğrul Günay in his office Tuesday and provided information about the new film. “The opening scenes are planned to be filmed in Istanbul, but some other places will also be used outside Istanbul for the film,” Günay said.
