Prints of a work commissioned for the Bond at Bletchley Park exhibition are now on sale direct from the artist.
Last Friday saw the opening of a temporary art exhibition centred around the James Bond books in Hut 12 at Bletchley Park. It celebrates both Ian Fleming’s original James Bond series and Anthony Horowitz’s recent continuation novels.
One of the artists whose work is featured is Sammie Edgar, who creates personalised art using the power of words. Two years ago a chance meeting led to her being commissioned to contribute an artwork to the project.
She painted James Bond’s silhouette from words used by Ian Fleming described his creation as well as words provided by Bond fan friends. She named the finished artwork ‘The words are my Bond’ (below).
While all the original works will be auctioned in October, once the exhibition has finished, prints of Sammie’s work are available direct from her website right now.
