Paramount may partner with MGM on Bond 23

While the release date of Bond 23 was announced last week by EON Productions and MGM, there is one part of the jigsaw still to be decided.

MGM stated back in November that it aims to release a James Bond film every two years from November 2012. It went on to say that while it was aiming to own 50 percent of Bond 23, with an equal partner paying all of the production costs. later movies would be wholly owned and funded by MGM.

One of the contenders for that role is Sony, which was successfully involved in Casino Royale and Quantum of Solace. However, while Sony may wish to continue its involvement in the Bond films, Paramount Pictures seems to be the main contender thanks to a close relationship with MGM co-chairmen Gary Barber and Roger Birnbaum.
