Out today: On His Majesty’s Secret Service

In the new book James Bond must counter a plot to disrupt the Coronation of King Charles III.

Today marks the release of a new 007 adventure, On His Majesty’s Secret Service, just in time for King Charles III’s Coronation. Written by Charlie Higson, the bestselling author of the Young Bond series, the book promises to deliver a fresh take on an adult Bond as he is called upon to foil an attempt to disrupt the Coronation. What’s more, all royalties from sales will go towards supporting the National Literacy Trust, a UK charity dedicated to promoting literacy in schools and communities. The book is available in digital, audio, and hardback formats.

The action of this entirely new 007 adventure brings Bond quite literally into the present day. It is the 4th of May, two days before the Coronation of King Charles III, and Bond is sent at the last minute to thwart an attempt to disrupt the Coronation. Bond finds himself facing off against the wealthy, eccentric, and dangerous Athelstan of Wessex, who has hired a team of mercenaries to carry out his deadly mission. Can Bond thwart Athelstan’s plans and save the day?

Charlie Higson is no stranger to the James Bond universe, having penned the Young Bond series. Higson’s deep understanding of Bond’s character and the world he inhabits makes him the perfect author to write this new adventure. Fans can expect a thrilling read that stays true to Bond’s essence while also bringing him into the present day. With Higson at the helm, readers are sure to be in for an action-packed ride filled with espionage, gadgets, and suspense.

It’s currently unknown if Charlie Higson will be asked to write any further of Bond’s adventures as an adult.

Is this the Original work of the author, or After the Woke people got ahold of it?

Will this be released worldwide? Right now in Canada I can get it on Kindle but not Kobo or in hardcopy.
