Octopussy jet and other Bond props up for auction

The Mail Online has an article about a variety of Bond props available for auction that include the jet from the pre-title sequence of Octopussy, a chair used by Blofeld in You Only Live Twice and a variety of other screen used paraphernalia. The article refers to “Dr Blofeld” several times, so beware of other inaccuracies.

The estimate for the jet is up to $300,000, while a hovercraft from Die Another Day is said to be worth up to $40,000. However, Bond props frequently go for far more than their estimate, so prepare to have very deep pockets if you’re interested.

The auction is being run by Julien’s Auction’s Icons & Idols: Hollywood sale on 5th/6th December and includes more than 25 lots from the James Bond films.
