No Time to Die UK release brought forward

Universal unveils new date on UK website.

The UK arm of Universal Pictures has confirmed that the planned release date for No Time to Die is now 30th September 2021.

It had been previously announced as 8th October following the delay from April 2021 due to the ongoing covid-19 pandemic. AS MGM lacks the ability to distribute No Time to Die to overseas markets it partnered with Universal for international distribution. Domestically the film will be distributed by United Artists Releasing, which is a joint venture between MGM and Annapurna Pictures.

Now that the UK is successfully rolling out a mass vaccination programme it does seem that September might be realistic. However, that depends on vaccination continuing as planned and with no mutations of the virus that significantly reduce the effectiveness of the vaccines.

On the other hand many other countries are experiencing supply difficulties that impact their ability to significantly increase the number of people receiving the vaccines. While this is likely to improve, it remains to be seen how much of Europe will have opened up significantly by then.
