This afternoon a new poster for Skyfall has been released, which you can see above. One of the things that strikes me about it is how the cast is presented as an ensemble, rather than just James bond on his mission, perhaps with a girl at his side.
The girls are there should, sure, but they seem to be presented as equals. This is a far cry from the early James Bond films, and perhaps something related to what I wrote about earlier today, when I was talking about James Bond as a lone operator.

Oh dear! Oh dear! Oh dear!
After dear old Englebert Humperdinck’s poor showing this year, this foursome looks like it could be Britain’s entrants for the 2013 Eurovision Song Contest.
Bond posters down the years have a reputation for being iconic. This one looks like it’s advertising a second-rate touring band.
Still, as the saying goes: ‘Don’t judge a book by it’s cover’.
