Amazon recently recommended to me a new book by The Ipcress File author Len Deighton, writing about the James Bond phenomenon from his own personal experince of knowing both Ian Fleming and Kevin McClory, which was a little bit of a surprise since its publication doesn’t seem to have been announced at all.
The book, James Bond: My Long And Eventful Search For His Father, is available as a Kindle Single, a format designed for essays and the price reflects that it is not a full length book.
The book tells the story of what went on behind the scenes based on Deighton’s first hand experience of the personalities involved.
