The Daily Mail is reporting that Naomie Harris is to get more of the action in Bond 24.
According to Baz Bamigboye an unnamed “executive close to the production” told him that Moneypenny is to be more of a sidekick to 007 rather than be desk bound as Sam Mendes, Daniel Craig and the producers, Michael G Wilson and Barbara Broccoli, are all huge fans.
It would be easy to dismiss the report as speculation on the behalf of the Mail but for the fact that Bamigboye was right on several aspects of Skyfall, including that Eve would turn out to be Miss Moneypenny.
Set against that though is the way Moneypenny was introduced at the end of the film, preferring to take a desk job after finding life in the field didn’t suit her (nor 007 for that matter), so it is difficult to know how they would resolve that.
