Ian Fleming features at the Henley Literary Festival

October’s Henley Literary Festival will see two events celebrating the work and life of James Bond creator Ian Fleming.

Held at Henley-on-Thames, the festival will celebrate the role Jamaica played in the creation of the 007 stories and mark 50 years of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.

Chitty Chitty Bang Bang illustrator John Burningham will explain his role in the creation of the much loved children’s book, followed by a reading. A second discussion will be of interest for all Bond fans as the role the Goldeneye villa in Jamaica played in the creation of 007 will be revealed.

Not only is Henley a great place to visit for its beauty and old fashioned charm, the chance to explore the work of Fleming at this world renowned festival should not be missed by any Bond fan.
