Eon producing another non-Bond movie

While Bond fans await even the tiniest hint of solid news about Bond 25 it has been revealed by Variety that the James Bond producers are currently involved in another non-Bond project.

Nancy, directed by Christina Choe, is said to be a psychological thriller starring Andrea Riseborough with J Smith-Cameron, Ann Dowd, John Leguizamo and Steve Buscemi. According to the article:

Riseborough plays a serial imposter, who becomes perilously close to losing her entire identity – and the only person who’s ever truly loved her – when her elaborate lies inevitably unravel.

Broccoli in particular has been involved lately with a surprising number of side projects, including an off Broadway production of Othello with Daniel Craig as Iago.

While it may simply be that the Bond producers fancy trying their hands at something else, it could be a sign that MGM’s lack of distribution partner means things can’t yet get underway with Bond 25.

Key takeaways

  • Eon Productions involved in another non-Bond project.
  • Barbara Broccoli and Michael G Wilson executive producing Nancy.
  • Principal photography has already commenced.
