Eon confirms Daniel Craig will return to SPECTRE shoot on 22nd April following surgery

maxresdefault[1]

Following my news report yesterday that Daniel Craig underwent knee surgery in New York last week, the BBC has heard from Eon Productions to clarify the situation.

The Eon spokeswoman confirmed Craig had a minor procedure during the Easter break, but denied that he had missed several days of filming alread. She added:

“During a scheduled break, Daniel Craig had arthroscopic surgery to repair his knee injury. He will rejoin production on April 22nd at Pinewood”.

So, despite what is being reported elsewhere, Sam Mendes is not struggling to complete filming in time and while Craig will not be filming for several weeks, it may have been that it was always intended to give him a break from what is, after all, an extremely demanding role physically.
