Daniel Craig Set To Become Longest Serving James Bond [The People]

An article published by The People today reports that Michael G Wilson has told them that he’d like to sign Daniel Craig for a five picture deal following Skyfall. The article says:

“Filming has gone very well so far and I’d love Daniel to surpass Roger’s record and do eight pictures. Daniel’s been an absolute pleasure to be around because he takes the role so seriously. There’s really no one more passionate about making these films work than him – he’s a film maker’s dream.”

That quote doesn’t exactly say what The People claims though and Wilson has not really said anything other than that you’d expect at the moment.

A five film deal would tie Craig down to the Bond series for at least 10 years, assuming one film every two years. However, history tells us that’s more likely to be 15 years, making Craig some 58 years old at the end of that period of time and therefore unlikely to be an attractive option for him.
