Daniel Craig says Bond 23 script is “incredible”

Daniel Craig was recently interviewed by ING for his latest movie, Cowboys And Aliens and right at the end of the interview he was asked about Bond 23: “There’s been some chatter that the movie may be going back to some traditional elements like Moneypenny and stuff like that, kinda also saying that Mendes is… going to have a darker take on everything”.

Craig laughingly replies “you’re just going to have to wait and see”, before going on to say “we’ve got all of those things, I don’t want to give anything away, but Sam [Mendes] is a huge Bond fan, he understands the history of it, he understands what Bond is about, he’s so on top of it it’s great it means I’m feeling very light about it and the script is incredible so we’re in good shape”.

Is Daniel Craig saying that Miss Moneypenny will be returning? Watch the video below and leave a comment at the bottom of the page.

Meanwhile The Mirror quoted an unnamed source as stating that Craig had been ordered to bulk up for Bond 23 after he made a comment on his appearance in Cowboys And Aliens.

“I didn’t want to be big, I wanted to kind of be scrawny, that’s kind of the cowboy characters I always kind of liked, Lucky Luke, kind of scrawny”, said Craig in passing. However, The Mirror quoted their “source” as saying:

“The last thing we want is a skinny Bond. We want him back looking as toned as he did in those swimming trunks in Casino Royale.

He bulked out originally for the role and we want him to do it again. He’ll be pumping a lot of iron in the next few months.”

However, The Examiner quoted Craig as saying “I don’t have to bulk up much. I’m just going to get fit”.
