Paul Haggis, brought in late last year to polish the Casino Royale script, struck gold at last night’s Oscars with Crash, which he directed and co-wrote.
Taking the award for best film it also stole the awards for best original screenplay and best film editing. What the Bond films have surely lacked for years is a well-polished script and maybe we will get it this time from Paul Haggis.
