Christoph Waltz cast in Bond 24 according to report

Bond 24 likely has a villain according to Baz Bamigboye in the Daily Express, in the form of double Oscar winner Christoph Waltz.

Austrian born Waltz won both Oscars for Best Supporting Actor in two Quentin Tarantino films, Inglourious Basterds in which he played an SS officer and Django Unchained as a bounty hunter. Bamigboye’s source stated that it is not immediately clear whether Waltz will play friend or foe.

The article also says filming will take place in Mexico, as well as Austria, Morocco, Italy and London and that the actors will run through the script with Sam Mendes in less than three weeks. With filming due to start on 6th December, there is just enough time for a script reading.

On hand will be screen writers Neal Purvis and Robert Wade, as well as Jez Butterworth, to talk through Sam Mendes through the action sequences, but that is the first suggestion I can recall of Mexico as a location.

He would have made an awesome General Gogol.

I love this idea. This is one of my favorite actors. He was amazing in both Django Unchained and Inglourias Basterds. He is perfect for a villain role since he showed how evil he could be in Basterds.

I’m very pleased with the casting of Christoph, i’ve been hoping he would be involved in the Bond series since seeing his excellent performance in Tarantino’s “Inglorious Basterds” and then “Django Unchained”. Role on October 2015.
