Chris Cornell’s song for Casino Royale was leaked on the internet this week after CD copies were distributed to radio stations in the US.
Titled You Know My Name is a fairly bland sing it by numbers rock ballad with hints of horns and strings in the background, the lyrics dealing with killing, gambling and chance. It’s generically Bondish, by which I mean it doesn’t feature the Bond theme, but hints at it. Maybe. While way better that Aha and Duran Duran’s efforts in the 1980s, it doesn’t seem to hold a candle to the Bond classics, but, only time will tell.
I could tell you where to find it, but due to the legal problems that might arise from me doing so I’d have to kill you immediately afterwards.
