Bond Special Effects Supervisor Chris Corbould to receive OBE

Special effects supervisor Chris Courbould, long been part of the Bond family after working along side Derek Meddings in The Spy Who Loved Me, has been recognised for services to film in the New Year Honour’s List and is to be awarded the OBE.

Corbould was responsible for the effects on Skyfall, but as well as the Bond films he has worked on Christopher Reeve’s Superman films, Christopher Nolan’s recent Batman trilogy and many others; with him scheduled to work on Star Wars VII (according to IMDB) there must be some doubt whether he will work on Bond 24 though.
