Skyfall benefits from IMAX and Veterans Day [Chicago Tribune]

Skyfall grossed more than $100 million in the United States in its first five days, benefiting from word of mouth from its early IMAX release and the Veterans Day holiday on Monday according to a report by the Chicago Tribune; on Monday alone it earned $11.3 million.

Globally Skyfall had taken $535 million by Tuesday and the article predicts that audience figures should remain strong throughout the week, when adult oriented films typically perform well. The article also pins the UK take at $117 million, with $44 million in Germany.
