Bond 24 to be shot on film?

Our friends at MI6 are reporting that Bond 24 is to be shot on film rather than digitally as was Skyfall.

The report comes via their forums, where one user repeated the claim from a user on Skyfall cinematographer Roger Deakins’ own forum that the filmmakers were returning to film for Bond 24, stating “I know the lab handling it”.

The problem is that no cinematographer has yet been announced after Roger Deakins confirmed his decision not to return, and there is no real substance to this claim. It might turn out to be true, but at the moment there is no other evidence to back the claim up.

Anyway, it is 50/50 whether the next cinematographer shoots digitally or not and so while Bond 24 may be shot on film you don’t need to be too lucky to guess right.
