Bollinger unveils James Bond special edition packaging

In the last few days Bollinger champagne has unveiled its special edition packaging to coincide with Skyfall, on general release in the UK from October 26th, as well as marking 39 years since Bollinger first appeared in a James Bond film.

This special edition is called 002 for 007 and includes a bottle of Grande Année 2002 inside a gift box protected by a combination lock that opens with the code 007. The gift box is apparently designed to look like a silencer, although it more closely resembles a telephoto lens.

The product has a recommended retail price of £125-150 which is double the price of the standard champagne on its own. 30,000 packages have reportedly been produced for sale worldwide.

David Leigh founded The James Bond Dossier in 2002. A fan of 007 since the age of 8, he is also author of The Complete Guide to the Drinks of James Bond. You can order a copy here if you don't own it already.
