A man who stalked Barbara Broccoli for several years has been given an indefinite hospital order.

Daniel Wilson, 37, admitted stalking Broccoli between April 2022 and February 2025, causing serious alarm or distress. He also admitted breaching a restraining order.

The court heard Wilson believed Broccoli owed him money connected with a bronze bust of her father, Cubby Broccoli, and continued to suffer delusions about her.

Wilson had previously broken into Broccoli’s London home in 2016. In a statement read to the court, Broccoli said the incident eventually forced her to sell the house where she had lived for 20 years.

During the period covered by the charges, Wilson sent hundreds of emails, text messages, WhatsApp messages and voicemails, some of which contained threats.

The judge imposed an indefinite hospital order with restrictions.
