Amy Pascal and David Heyman confirmed for Bond 26

Today Amazon MGM Studios has officially confirmed Amy Pascal and David Heyman as producers of the next James Bond film.

This afternoon Amazon MGM issued a press release confirming Amy Pascal and David Heyman will producer the next James Bond film. The official announcement puts two of Hollywood’s most seasoned franchise producers at the helm of Bond 26. Amy Pascal, who worked closely with Eon Productions during her Sony years, and David Heyman, the force behind Harry Potter, now take on the daunting task of guiding 007 into a post-Broccoli chapter.

It’s a pairing that looks deliberately reminiscent of Barbara Broccoli and Michael G Wilson’s long-standing creative partnership—a producer duo who balanced Bond’s business and storytelling with striking consistency. While no direct comparison was made, it’s difficult to miss the symbolism: two experienced producers working in tandem, much like the team that steered the series through Goldeneye, Casino Royale, and Skyfall. In an article reporting this rumour over the weekend we noted Pascal’s strong ties to Broccoli and her presence during Bond’s most commercially successful period.

Courtenay Valenti, Amazon MGM’s Head of Film, called Pascal and Heyman “part of an elite group” of producers and praised their “box office success and critical acclaim”. For their part, Pascal and Heyman said they were “humbled” to follow in the footsteps of Broccoli and Wilson, and excited to keep Bond’s spirit alive.

Having paid over $1 billion for creative control of the franchise, Amazon is reportedly prioritising a new film before exploring any possible spin-offs. This producer announcement, a day after the deal bwtween Amazon MGM and Eon closed, is the clearest sign yet that Bond 26 is moving forward with some urgency.

    Will wait and see.
I’m not overly enthusiastic Just look at the Hollywood travesties in the last few decades.
Hell, I didn’t even see “Die Another Day”, the first time in my life I haven’t seen a James Bond film in a theater (or television).

  • Robyn says:

I hope they will continue, with the Bond franchise, with a Bond film, every two years! Great writing team would be a plus, keeping Bond as exciting as ever! I hope they think of the Bond fans and not just lining their pockets $$. Don’t muck it up! Thank you!

  • Trae S. says:

There is absolutely NO Reason that Bond can’t be just as successful or even better than the Mission Impossible franchise.

  • Parnell James says:

I’m starving for another Bond film so this announcement makes my mouth water for the possibility of it coming to fruition
