Actor who played Baron Samedi dies aged 84

Geoffrey Holder, who played Baron Samedi in Live And Let Die, has died at the age of 84 from complications caused by Pneumonia according to a family spokesman.

Holder was born in  Trinidad in 1930 and had an extremely varied career, by turns working as an actor, dancer, choreographer, director, costume designer, singer, painter and voice over artist. He won two Tony awards in 1975 for direction and costume design in The Wiz, an all-black version of The Wizard of Oz.
