007 to be celebrated at Oscars

A sequence celebrating 50 years of James Bond on the big screen is to be televised during the Oscars show, according to a press release published on the Oscars website.

The press release gives little else away, other than nominations being announced on January 10th, with the award ceremony on February 24th.

Of course, this year Eon Productions has high hopes that they will be on the list after the commercial and critical reception to Skyfall; in a few days we’ll know if they made to that first stage.
