Daniel Craig is “keener to do [Bond 25] than not”

Baz Bamigboye has revealed more information about Bond 25 in a Daily Mail article published today.

Bond 25

On top of revealing on Twitter that Purvis & Wade have been signed for Bond 25, Baz Bamigboye states in an article for the Daily Mail that Daniel Craig is more likely to return as 007 than not.

He also considers possible replacements for Daniel Craig, reaffirming that Craig has not yet committed to playing James Bond for a fifth time. Bamigboye writes:

Producers Barbara Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson have made it very clear to Craig that they would like him to return for Bond 25 but the truth is, he hasn’t decided yet — though I hear he’s keener to do it than not.

After considering Jack Huston, Bamigboye goes on to say:

an executive at a studio close to the Bond franchise told me that while Broccoli is keen on Huston, she is also ‘absolutely keen on having a black actor playing Bond’.

The next paragraph slightly contradicts that though:

‘It’s just finding the actor,’ I was told, and then: ‘In fact, she doesn’t care what colour he is. Black, brown or white. She just wants a great actor.’

The only thing to do at the moment is watch this space.

I’m becoming more and more convinced that Barbara Broccoli is clueless. Both these possibilities for a Craig replacement are unacceptable.

Clueless? As in producing a film that earned more than $1 billion at the box office clueless?

These are just media reports. Just because they’re reported as fact doesn’t mean they are real.
