On Her Majesty’s Secret Service score returns in expanded 2-CD set

A remastered edition of one of the most celebrated Bond soundtracks is now available exclusively from the official 007 Store.

When On Her Majesty’s Secret Service was released in 1969, it marked a turning point in the Bond series. With Sean Connery having departed, George Lazenby stepped into the role, and John Barry delivered what many Bond fans still consider his most ambitious and inventive score. Now, more than fifty years later, that music is back in a remastered and expanded 2-CD edition that promises to delight both long-time followers of 007 and collectors of film music.

Produced and mixed by Neil S Bulk and mastered by Doug Schwartz, the new release draws on the original 3-track ½″ masters, with We Have All The Time In The World — the haunting love theme performed by Louis Armstrong — sourced from the 1″ 8-track tapes for added fidelity. The album also includes Do You Know How Christmas Trees Are Grown?, sung by Nina with lyrics by Hal David, and features two cues previously unavailable in stereo, newly processed by Chris Malone.

The packaging has been given as much care as the audio, with a fresh cover design by Jim Titus, art direction by Dan Goldwasser, and liner notes from Bond music historian Jon Burlingame. There is also a fitting foreword from David Arnold, who himself composed five Bond scores and cites Barry as a key influence.

Available exclusively from 007Store.com for its first 90 days, this release offers Bond fans the chance to rediscover a soundtrack that remains as bold and distinctive as the film it accompanied.
