Licence to Kill 35th anniversary soundtrack reissued in expanded edition

A remastered and expanded 2-CD edition of Michael Kamen’s Licence to Kill soundtrack celebrates the film’s 35th anniversary.

La-La Land Records has announced a special 35th anniversary remastered and expanded 2-CD edition of the Licence to Kill soundtrack, composed by Michael Kamen. This limited release, restricted to 5,000 units, is available exclusively through La-La Land Records and 007Store.com for the first 90 days.

The 1989 film, Licence to Kill, marked Timothy Dalton’s second portrayal of James Bond. Kamen’s score is noted for its robust and propulsive qualities, aligning with the film’s intense narrative of Bond seeking vengeance for the attack on his friend Felix Leiter. The soundtrack features dynamic interpretations of the classic “James Bond Theme” and includes two versions of the title song performed by Gladys Knight.

This anniversary edition offers an expanded experience beyond the original soundtrack, with the score presented across both discs. Disc Two also includes the remastered 1989 album and additional music. The release is produced by Neil S. Bulk and mastered by Doug Schwartz, with new liner notes by film music journalist Jon Burlingame and art direction by Dan Goldwasser.

Bond fans and soundtrack collectors can order this limited edition directly from La-La Land Records’ website. Given the restricted number of copies, enthusiasts are encouraged to secure their editions promptly.
